Harper's First Haircut

Harps has a funny hair growth pattern because it grows in patches. The patches that grow, really grow! Back in September, she had her first haircut at 6 months old. She kept trying to see the scissors, but overall she was such a good girl.

This is BEFORE...

Her tail.

She has sweetest little face that is so expressive. How kissable is she?!?

AFTER!!! Missy chopped 2 inches off!

Thanks Miss.

Goodbye summer....

Goodbye to BBQ's with family and friends, playing outside with neighbors, catching rollie-pollies, swimming, plays on the front porch, and so much more. See you next year!

NOW back to the grindstone.

Kid's Birthday Party 2011

Good times were to be had this year when we had the cousin's b-day party at the ranch. We had everything from cotton candy to fortune telling....the kids had a blast. I will let the pics do the talking. :)

This may not shock some of you, but that is my Mom/fortune teller!

~Sisters~

Sloane already calls Harper her best friend. I am so grateful to have the experience of raising daughters and to witness how they adore each other already. They are so different and bring something so unique to our family. I know Sloane will be the best example to her baby sister, and Harper will give just us much back. It is already very impressive the impression both of these little ladies leave on those they have met. Baby girls you brighten the day. I am so in love.

Sugar.....Oh Honey Honey.....

Sugar Sugar was the song Sloane performed her first dance to. The dance recital was at Kingsbury Hall on her 4th birthday. It was seriously so precious, and we were so proud of how well she did. She LOVES to dance! We had a handful of family come to support our little lady....Sydney, Mom, Dad, Mother-in-law, and Sister-in-law. Thanks for making it special for her!

She was a little(alot) overwhelmed when it was over and would even hold her flowers, but they look just like her friend Avery's. :)

Wish Brev could have been there, but he was at a soccer tournament. Typical, but they won gold, so I guess it wasn't all in vain.

Not to be outdone....Brev learned an African style dance at school. Look for the orange shirt with the spastic arms.

UDA had a student appreciation day at Cowabunga Bay after the recital, and it was a fun/cold way to wrap up dance and kick off summer!

Harps and I checked them out from the cabana. What a little cutie. :)

~The Very Hungry Caterpillar Party~

Sloane turned 4 in June, and she convinced me to have another friend party for her this year. It really didn't take much. :) We had it at a great park near or house, and besides the wind it was perfect. Including Sloane we had 15 kids! We played a little "Feed the Caterpillar" and had some pinata action as well. Sloane loves her friends so much, and it was a super day for her.

Reading The Very Hungry Caterpillar to the kids. It was so sweet how into the book they were.

I made this caterpillar to for the game and it turned out pretty dang cute. The food cutouts were the same graphics as the book, as is Sloane's fancy schmancy dress. :)

Thank goodness we had my heavy hitting niece to break the ginormous pinata!

The dang wind didn't let up until the party was over, but I think I am the only one that cared or noticed. lol

Cute Thank Yous we sent home with each guest.

Caterpillar kabobs.

Thank goodness for the playground!!!

Ice cream sandwich check, caterpillar kabob check, butterfly net with candy check!

My little lady was spoiled rotten, but she has loved every gift she received. She remembers who gave her each gift as well. :)
