The 24th of July

Since we didn’t do any fireworks for the 4th we decided to let off a few for the 24th with some of our favorite neighbors. We went and picked out our loot at one of those firework stands because you know Brevan had to get some tanks. They all turned out pretty good and our “Grand Finale” firework we spent twenty bucks on wasn’t bad either. Good times!!!!

Checking out the loot!

Remember snakes...?

You gotta love sparklers!

Maybe not a good idea...

Big Stik Ranch

This is the infamous Big Stik Ranch. My parents bought this fabulous place about 13 year ago and we have a loved spending time there ever since. They have done many improvements in the past 13 years as you will see...

On the way up my neice Sydney insisted on getting all the gates.

My parents have random things all over the place such as this sign. They are hilarious!

They are putting in a new road and making great progress!

This is the Saloon. It has several tables, slot machine, and yes it does have a bar. The kids have a blast playing store in the Saloon. It is also the coolest place to be when it is super hot outside.

This is the Honeymoon Hut which is my favorite place to stay when we are there because it is away from everybody and the water flowing in the stream puts me to sleep.

Some of the fun we have is spent on the four wheelers, playing horse shoes, roasting marshmellows, and simply just relaxing. Here is my nephew Zach, cousins Clint and Travis, and Travis's girfriend Janing playing a friendly game of horseshoes.

Here we are hanging out in front of the the bunkhouse AKA The Chalet.

Roasting mellows!!!!

The kids find a creative hill billy way to cool off. Notice the outhouse in the background. Yes girls it flushes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's a wrap...

We finally wrapped up the spring baseball and soccer season…

Brevan played baseball on the Red Sox and they ended up taking first in their division and second in the championship... Good job boys! They also received the sportsmanship award so on June 16th they went as a team to the Bee’s game. Brandon and I chaperoned and my gosh do those boys have energy!!!! They are always so serious and intense at the games so it was really fun seeing them act all wild and crazy… not to mention they thought they were pretty big time being in a suite with a fridge full of sodas. They had a blast and we are really going to miss this team.

Brevan had a great time playing soccer and we are already having practices for the new fall league he is on. We never have a break but we love it!

Sloane's First Birthday

Sloane had a super fun beach themed party. The older kids had a blast on the water slide and the little ones loved the kiddie pool. Well that is as long as we could keep the big kids out of it! When it came time for Sloane to devour her first birthday cake she wanted nothing to do with it. She couldn’t stand the feel or taste of it… Weird girl!!! All my extreme efforts to get the girl to eat daily now are validated by the fact that she just simply doesn’t like food! Brandon and I have become pretty crafty with ways to distract her long enough to shovel a bite in. Either way, cake or no cake she loved her first birthday party!

Brev's 8th Birthday

I have quite a bit of catch up blogging to do so I will start with Brevan’s 8th birthday which was back on May 18th. We told him he could invite up to 10 kids and of course all he wanted was his BFF’s/cousins Easton and Cameron (aka Beaver.) These two little brothers are some of Brev’s most favorite people. We all loaded up and headed off to Boondocks for some good times. Brev who can tend to be a little emotional pouted for the awhile (which none of us can even remember why) but he quickly got over it. They soon were having a blast on the water boats, golfing, games, laser tag, you name it they did it. All seemed to be going well until dinner time when we realized we forgot Beaver’s enzymes he needs to take when he eats because he has Cystic Fibrosis. If he doesn’t have them he gets the runs so we felt HORRIBLE and we kept asking him every 5 minutes if he had to go. Poor guy I am sure we drove him nuts. After that we headed home for a sleep overand all in all I think the boys had a super fun time.

Go Jazz!!

We have been having a blast watching the Jazz in the playoffs and in fact Brevan has been lucky enough to be at two of the games with his Dad. The latest being the crazy Mother's Day game that went into overtime. He was on the seventh row! I guess you could say he is a little spoiled. As you can see in the pic Brevan was popping off to a Laker's fan (of course behind his back.) However, I must say my favorite pic is the one with Brev and the Jazz dancer because anyone who knows him can tell he is totally blushing! The other pic is of Brandon's cute sister Missy and her blogger hater husband Scott. Doesn't Scott look like Tim McGraw? They too had pretty fabulous seats on the fifteenth row just behind Brev.
